on the orders of another,
and burned her as a witch
although she was a mother.
The cries of little children
rang out among the trees;
as the woman, who was a mother,
fell down upon her knees.
They dragged her by the arms;
her knees a scuffled red
then dropped a heavy noose
over her helpless head.
A body hung above the flames
after her soul had gone
and though the children sobbed
the people still watched on.
